PARO -THIMPHU – WANGDI

DAY 01 ARRIVAL AT PARO (5 KMS / 15 MIN, 2134Mts / 7000Fts)
Arrive Paro by Druk air the only national carrier. The flight offers you beautiful view of mountains and landscapes. On arrival (134Mts / 7000Fts) and after visa formalities you will be received by our executive. Afternoon / Evening time at leisure. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 02 PARO – THIMPHU (65 KMS / 02 HRS, 2134Mts / 7000Fts)
After breakfast go for half day Paro sightseeing – visit Drukyel Dzong, the historical fortress built in 1647 by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyel to commemorate his victory over Tibetan invaders. Also visit Ta Dzong, which was built in 1651 as a watch tower. Since 1951 the Dzong has been re-established as the National Museum and holds fascinating collections of art and religious Thankha paintings. Afternoon transfer to Thimphu (2134Mts / 7000Fts) the capital of Bhutan. Visitors can enjoy relaxing walk in the valley at evening. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 03 THIMPHU –WANGDI (70 KMS /03 HRS, 1350Mts / 4430Fts)
After breakfast go for half day Thimphu sightseeing – visit Memorial Chorten – the Stupa built in 1974 in the memory of late King Jigme Dorji Wangchuk. The paintings and images inside the monument provide a rare sight into Buddhist philosophy. Also visit Mothinthang zoo and Viewpoint. Afternoon drive to Wangdiphodrang (70 KMS /03 HRS, 1350Mts / 4430Fts) the last town on the highway before entering central Bhutan. The drive over Dochu La pass is very scenic with fascinating view of mountains of Bhutan. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 04 WANGDI
After breakfast go for Full day Gangtey excursion. Gangtey Gompa in the Phobjikha Valley is a 16th century monastery. It is the only monastery in Bhutan, which follows the Nyingmapa sect of Buddhism. The Phobjikha valley is home to rare Black Necked Crane, an endangered species, which migrate from the Tibetan plateau in winters. About 250-300 of these reside in this beautiful valley. Return to Wangdiphodrang in the evening. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 05 WANGDI – (PUNAKHA) – PARO (150 KMS / 05 HRS, 2134Mts /7000Fts)
After breakfast leave for Punakha, the valley which lies amidst snow-capped mountain peaks. The Punakha Dzong built at the confluence of the Po and Mo Chu Rivers in the 17th Century by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyel served as capital of Bhutan until 1955. The Dzong houses sacred artifacts and the embalmed body of Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyel. Drive to Paro, (2134Mts / 7000Fts). Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 06 PARO – ONWARD CONNECTION
After breakfast transfer to the Airport for onward connection.

ENTRY FORMALITY TO BHUTAN For all Bhutan tour please asks the clients to carry –
A) 04 Recent Color Photograph
B) Original Passport / Election Id card which is Mandatory for all passengers. For minors Original Birth Certificate / Valid passport with minimum six month validity from date of departure from Bhutan. The same ID will have to be carried during the tour. However, Indian national if flying to Bhutan from any second country require valid passport with minimum six month validity from date of departure from Bhutan while entering Bhutan but visa is not required.
C) Incase traveling by surface to Bhutan please avoid reaching Phuntsholing on a government holiday, Friday & Saturday. For such people permit cannot be issued & they will have to stay at Phuntsholing doing nothing. Incase one is traveling to area other than Thimpu, Paro & Phuntsholing, a special (Pink) permit is required which is issued on the basis of the permit made at Phuntsholing. This special (Pink) permit is issued from Thimpu from Monday to Friday, so one has to avoid reaching Thimpu on government holiday, Saturday & Sunday.
